Here are a few answers to the frequently asked questions...
1. Why do I need to place a deposit down to hold my date and time?
We require a deposit for a few reasons. First and foremost this guarantees you and us that both parties are serious and will be held to
the time and date specified. Secondly, our time is our business. If we didn't require a deposit, and held a date and time for someone that ended
up canceling with out any worry of losing money, we not only lost your wedding but others that may have wanted your time and date.
2. What is a Trial Run and do I need to have one?
A trial run is an opportunity for us to meet before your wedding. This is a time to ask questions, address concerns, and
develop a style and overall look for the wedding day. If time is a factor, a trial run is not always necessary. If this is the case, gather pictures from magazines, online, or wherever you choose of hair and makeup styles you like and we can work from there. Others know exactly what they want, and have no interest in the trial.
A trial run IS NOT a way to receive discounted hair and makeup for engagement pictures, girls night out..etc. We may split your face down the middle and try two different looks. Hair may not be curled or pinned perfectly, but just enough to give the overall look that will take place on your wedding day. If a hair and makeup lesson is what you are looking for, this is not the time either, we can arrange that at a different time.
3. Will my hair and makeup last all day?
Absolutely! We have done hundreds of weddings, and through feedback from our Brides, we have found what works the best, and what really doesn't. Makeup is waterproof and sweat proof, and will last through the day and night...some Brides even comment on looking as good the next day!! All this while still being very light weight. Our hair stylist know what products to use, and how to use them. Your hair will hold...sometimes for days if you want it...without looking hard or like a helmet! Remember it is all in the products.
4. Can I choose not to have airbrush foundation?
Over the years, I have found that some people would do better in airbrush and others would not. I consider both foundations a tool in my tool kit. I want you to look your absolute best on your wedding day, so yes you can choose not to have airbrush, but I would like to help you decide which product would work best for your skin and overall look of the day.
5. What type of products do you use?
This is a question I answer many times. We use high quality hair and makeup products. Mac, Smashbox, Lorac and private label that is developed for makeup artists. Hair stylists use anything from Redken to Big Sexy Hair and TIGI. We do not represent any specific product, so therefore we are able to use and recommend what we like and know works well, not what we have to sale.
6. Do you charge any travel fees?
No, as long as you are located and/or staying in the Las Vegas/Henderson area. Traveling to Primm(Stateline), Laughlin, Mesquite and Southern Utah is an additional fee.
